SignHealth website

SignHealth is a restricted-access website designed for medical and health professionals to more easily communicate with deaf patients and those with learning difficulties and other language barriers.

The site is fully database driven and includes video casts in British Sign Language and several language options for text.

As well as designing the look of the site we were asked to illustrate hundreds of visual aids for symptoms and health issues. The challenge here was to make them as simple and at the same time as clear as possible such a small image area. At the same time many of the descriptions were for extremely delicate topics and our good, and ever developing, understanding for mental, physical and cultural issues helps us to produce best effective solutions.
